Harley Reverse Gear
Motor Trike Inc. has released a Mechanical Reverse Gear for Harley-Davidson that can be installed on trikes and sidecars, in addition to motorcycles.
The reverse features an electronic kill switch, which makes it unique from other reverses on the market, the company says. In the case of the reverse and transmission being in gear at the same time, the kill switch stalls the engine, helping to prevent transmission damage.
Instructions are included in each kit, and no modifications to the vehicle’s exhaust are necessary. The reverse does not affect forward gears. The mechanical reverse will fit the following vehicles with OEM header pipes: 1999-2206 five-speed standard or hydraulic clutches, 2007-2008 six-speed standard or hydraulic, and 2009 to present six-speed standard or hydraulic.
